Letter

Foochow
13 May, 1898

My dear Mr. Baring-Gould,

Your telegram [illegible] came to hand about 12 days ago & I wrote to the ladies at Keng Tau asking them to carry out the wishes of the Committee & resume to Foochow as soon as possible.

I was enclose their reply and I cannot of course compel them to leave. The ceiling of the basement of the house has in my opinion made it perfectly habitable & I am very sorry indeed that the Committee has acted on Dr. Taylor’s advice without getting another medical opinion. Of course I say this without knowing what has really been decided but I will await your letter on the subject & then write again.

[Closing word], Lloyd
