Letter

Dec 3rd, 1906

Dear Mr. Baring-Gould,

Ms. Barber left Foochow last Wednesday & I feel I should write a few lines to remind you that her nerves are quite unstrung & you will need to take quandedly[sic] any statement she may make to you. She is I think much aggrieved & feels that she has been treated very badly but this is quite imaginary & her conduct has been so strange of late that it is a great relief to most of us that she has left for home.

She took up a most violent attitude of opposition to the question of staff missionaries & has never been the same since. I feel it due to you to let you know this much.

With kind regards
[sic]
Ll. Lloyd
