Letter

Foochow, S. China Dec. 31. 1906

My dear Mr. Baring-Gould,

In my recent letter to you I said nothing about Miss Barber or about certain resolutions passed by the Women’s Conference owing to discussions more or less closely connected with her case.

I only wish to say now that if you desire further information about these matters I shall be ready to give it. Miss Lambert, I am told, was enabled to manifest real self restraint at the Conference under circumstances that must have been very trying. — I have no doubt that she has the confidence of the far greater part of the Mission, if not of the whole. — It is delightful to see the good order & thoughtfulness with which the school is managed. But Miss Bushell & Miss Lambert ought not again to be subjected to the trial of a companion of the temperament of Miss Barber.

I leave tonight for the Ning taik & Fuhning districts & expect to be away between three & four weeks.

Affectionally yours, H. McC. E. Price
